The one excuse to where a bikini, or tankini in this case, was when at the gymnasium in the swimming pool. Well, it wasn't actually allowed. But, everyone did it anyway. The teachers wouldn't be like 'Excuse me miss, only one piece bathing suits are allowed.' Unless it was completely too skimpy and inappropriate. Thats why in school, tankinis equalled love. In some schools, anyway. It really depended on whether you had a pool or not. Being in Hawaii, they did. Not like they needed one here. The beach was like fifteen minutes away, walking. Oh well, she didn't care.
Brooklyn Jade, the queen bee, walked into the gym. Her hourglass was being show off in her tight tankini. The teachers couldn't catch her, considering it was night and they were sleeping. She flipped her beautiful blonde hair behind her shoulders. She was alone, but didn't really care. The island princess would swim anyway, or at least relax. She tossed her coach purse and a light blue towel with the white lettering 'Brooklyn' on it across the room, her phone was on vibrate. Just in case teachers happened to pass by.
The beautiful goddess looking clarinetist walked over to the deep end of the pool, one foot slightly infront of the other. Full of grace she leaned forward into an elegant swam dive. They just happened to be Brook's specialty when it came to diving. Her splash was close to nothing, and it was silent. She came up, her neck craning upward. She inhaled the clean air, that surprisingly smelled like lavender. They probably had some air spray in it. Oh well, she didn't care. She swam in a series of turns over to the shallow end. She sat on the middle step, relaxing.

- - - - - - - - - - did you forget "did you forget that i was even alive. did you forget everything we ever had did you forget, did you forget about me. did you regret ever standing by my side did you forget what we were feeling inside. now i'm left to forget, about us" the voice of shane renalds could quietly be heard through the hall. he was quietly singing the song demi lively had played for him at the mall. yes, he did remember the words even though she only played itonce, but he seemed to play it over and over in his head. he liked it, a lot.
as he walked, he glanced over to the gym and to the pool. there, he saw the one person he didn't want to see. brooklyn carter. he sighed and quickly ducked down below the window that was infront of the pool area that let on lookers in the hall see what was going on. he thought he'd get by without being noticed, but his luck was out. as he passed the doorway, which was open, he tripped and fell right on his behind.
he opened his eyes, hoping brooklyn didn't see. not only would that be embarassing, but then she'd talk to him. he stood up and tried to walk away, but that just failed like his plan of hiding.

Going under once more, bubbles reached the surface as Brooklyn blew underwater. When her perfect face appeared, she heard a faint voice singing. 'Did you forget that i was even alive? Did you forget everything we ever had did you forget, did you forget about me? Did you regret ever standing by my side did you forget what we were feeling inside. Now i'm left to forget, about us.' It was a faint whisper, obviously some one didn't want to get caught. Well, they would. Though, not by the teachers.
The blonde heard the quiet footsteps get closer, and then a light thump! She stood up, turning around. Her hair flipped over, some water flinging off. When she saw who it was, a smile spread across her lips. Shane Renalds. She had been wanting to talk with him for a while, about the Demi girl. Apparently, or so the rumors said, they were becoming close. They were actually talking to each other. He was as good as dead in her eyes. This would be fun.
"Hey, Shane!" Brooke called out, walking over. Her clean, long supermodel type legs flashed as she walked. It was virtually dark in the gym, besides the pool light. "So, what's up with you? How have you been lately? Hanging out with the Lively girl, I hear." The last sentence was more of a hiss than the others, that seemed like she was perfectly happy with him. She stopped dead, her brown eyes now glaring at him.

- - - - - - - - - - did you forget shane's eyes widen as brooklyn walked up to him. his eyes looked at her up and down in awe of her body in a bathing suit. he quickly shook that thought away, just for a little while. he gave a small, fake smile to her as she stopped infront of him. "oh, hello brooklyn," he said, somewhat leaning against the doorway that he had tripped infront of. "i'm good, ya good," he then said. talking to her made him more nervous than tlaking to demi. brooklyn kind of scared him. she had a way of knowing things that she shouldn't know or wasn't supposed to know and when she asked about demi, it was a subject she shouldn't had known about. "lively girl? who's that? i don't hang out with a lively girl or whatever." he was a terrible liar, it was apparent, but he gave a try. he knew that brooklyn had something up her sleeve, well bathsuit or towel or wherever she had have a plan or some sort. he just stood with a smile on his face like nothing ever happened.

In Brook's eyes, he would die even painfullier. First, she knew that Shane happened to be a terrible liar. Second, she wasn't an idiot like he apparently thought she was. And third, she had seen them. Her glare hardened at her ex. She still liked him, secretly. He probably knew, but at the moment you would think they had been mortal enemies for life. Her arms crossed underneath her chest. Apprently, he wanted to make it harder than it had to be. She would enjoy this little 'kill.' She combed back her dark hair, and her arm refolded. Her long eyelashes beated down twice, before her lovely soprano voice rang out again.
"Shane, I"m not a freakin' idiot! I saw you with her. I had spilled coffee on my new Coach, and was going to get another one. I'm not blind, idiot. So, what were you two little birds doing?" Brooklyn's usually soft and smooth voice was now filled with anger towards him. Her claw wax clenched, uncomfortable for most people. At this point, it seemed to be necessary.

- - - - - - - - - - did you forget "why can't you just accept that i am hanging out with other girls that aren't in your lame little clique of pop princess wannabes?" he asked her, becoming slightly mad that brooke was becoming mad at him. maybe this was the eason they broke up, or was it because she was too busy trying to impress her little friends. oh wait, that was him too. oh well. "and we were talking! is that a sin to you or something?" he asked. he crossed his arms as she did, glaring at her. he really wanted to say more, but she was staring back at him and it set a shiver down his spine. she could be scary when she wanted to be.
