shane smiled. "since i'm not into getting my nails done, i guess you're going to have to deal with going to the guitar store," he said, sticking his hands back into his pockets. "if thats okay with you of coarse," he added. he would really much rather go to th eguitar store than the nail salon. the smell of that place could get someone high in less than a minute, or that was what he thought. for a minute, he couldn't help but stare at demi for just a minute. she was really pretty. far more attractive than brooklyn ever would be. he quickly looked away and glanced down at his shoes.

She smiled. "Okay, let's go to the guitar store, then," she said. She looked towards it and started walking. "So, do you play?" she asked as the approached the store. She had been playing forever, because her dad had taught her. She had just about forgotten their past arguments and was actually starting to have the best time she had had all day.

shane shrugged as he followed behind her. "i play sometimes, but my brothers play a lot more. like, jason is like th emain guitarist and caden plays too. i just sing." he looked around the mall once more and looked back towards her. he really hoped no one saw him here with demi, ecspecially brooklyn. she'd probably go balistic and probably have her little princesses virbally attack demi in an alley or something like that.

Demi nodded. "I've heard that they're really good," she said, walking inside the store. She had been there many times since she'd moved to Oahu, and she loved it. There were guitars sitting out everywhere and other instruments. Plus a big piano she always played on. "I've been playing since I was ten," she said. That was an estimation. She's known some chords all her life, but she could play songs once she was ten. She walked over to where many guitars sat on their stands and looked them over.

shane walk over to a wall an dlooked around, doing his own thing for a minute. he then walked over to her. "thats a long time," he said as she told him that she had been playing since she was ten year sold. "i can't rmember when i started singing," he told her. was it around eight or maybe thirteen. he couldn't remember. all he knew was he was good and the girls liked it. "do you play at that tiki hut place?" he asked her. he could have swore he had seen her there once and heard her play.

She nodded. "We have home videos of me running around the house in my pajamas singing the national anthem wen I was three," she said, smiling at the thought. She heard him mention the tiki hut. "Yeah, i perform there on saturdays, but I haven't lately." she said. They had taken her off the performing list for a few weeks because they were having special events planned. But she was supposed to perform next week.

"when are you performing again?" he asked curiously. he would really enjoy watching her again. the last time he saw her was at the first show with brooklyn. he remembered her being really impressed with demi. he couldn't lie, he was impressed too. "if if next week or something i will for sure be able to go," he added with a small smile on his face. hopfully she'd say next weekend. maybe caden and jason would come so he wouldn't have to go alone.

"I'm performing next week, I think," she said, smiling. She was pretty sure he was there that first night she had performed after Brooke, "But if you want to hear me play to badly, I could play for you now," she added. The tone that he had used made it obvious to her that he wanted to hear her play. She wanted to hear him play too, though. She wondered is Shane was as talented as he was cute.

shane chuckled as she said she would play now. "you'd play right now at the mall infront of everybody?" he asked, finding it quite funny. he would never do that. just the fact of messy up on stage got to him, thinking about messy up in the mall infront of a lot of people would be horrible. if she messed up and embarassed herself, he knew he'd laugh at her just because it would be funny to see her mess up.

She laughed. "No, that's not really what I meant," she said. Perform in front of the whole mall? No way, even she was not that daring. But play a quick song on the guitar, why not? "Unless, you'd rather perform in front of everybody," she said with a smile.
ooc: sorry, short!

"no," he quickly replied. "if i screw up, you or people around here will go tell people about it. news travels fast on a little island you know." he crossed his arms as he looked down at her. she was really short. "i guess i'll just have to wait a week to hear you perform at the tiki hut then," he told her with a grin, "i might ask my brothers if want to come. they probably won't, but i'll still ask anyways. bigger audiences are far better than smaller ones." he liked when he and his brothers performed in front of big crowds at school or anywhere else. the best part was all of the screaming girls yelling his name. it was awesome.

She laughed and sat down, picking up an acoustic guitar from a stand and placing it onto her lap. "Well, you shouldn't bother. I don't want you to be embarrassed if one of your friends catches you watching me perform," she said, her voice sounding colder than she meant it to be. She was not really mad, but she hated how he kept bringing up how if his friends knew this or that, his record would be ruined. If he didn't want to be seen with her, then he shouldn't have said anything to her in the first place.
ooc: i know I posted with Mary. I'm too lazy to switch accounts right now. i will for my next post

"me? embarassed? with you? no." he said as she leaned against a table, knocking over a small sign that was on it. he quickly picked it back up and put back in its place, giving a cool smile to demi as if it never happened. "people at school just know that the kings and the princesses don't like you, therefore, i shouldin't like you." he tried to explain it to her, but he knew that probably came out the way it shouldn't have.

Shouldn't like you. That really made her feel fantastic. She tried to brush it off. "So, then why are you not going to be like everyone else and pretend that I'm some freak?" she asked, her finger accidentally strumming a few chords on the guitar. She held her hand over the chords to silence them. Her tone did not really sound mad, because she wasn't. She was just curious of how the leader of The Kings would even look her way.

shane raised an eyebrow as she strummed the guitar. "well, because i'm just not like everyone makes me out to be i guess." he told her. in a way that was true. sure, he was very mean to people, but that was only because those people got on his nerves. also, he was only said to be arrogant because he had so much self-esteem. since when was that ever a bad thing. at least he wasn't some crazy emo person sitting in the corner boo-hooing and cutting himself.
