Caden said "I play defense, usually fullback." he said, puytting his hands in hsi pocket. He felt his phone vibrate but decided that he would ignore it, for now. Besides, it was probably just Shane or Jason. He replied to their texts every single times, they could go twenty minutes without hearing from him. Hearing the familiar song of the ice cream truch, he asked, "Do you want to get something?" He had quite a sweet tooth, and just hearing the music made his mouth water.
ooc: no worries. i know nothing about soccer. i just fake it.

Mary smiled. Someone she could share a hobby with, maybe? "Sure," she said, as she also heard the jingle of the ice cream truck. She turned around, and sure enough, the bright blue ice cream truck was coming down the street towards them. She stood up from the bench. She smiled as a thought came to her head. "When I was little I always used to buy the little powerpuff ice cream bar," she said, without really thinking before she did. That was strange for her. She usually pondered on something before saying it out loud.
ooc: lol. omg, i was thinking about ice cream trucks to add one too!

THey walked over to the ice cream trck together, and Caden listened to her talk about her favorite ice cream. "I've always gone old school for a fudge bar," he said with a smile. He spotted the ice cream bar that she was talking about, with the blue powerfull doll or whatever on it. He walked up to the window and said, "Two powerpuff ice cream bars," the guy dissapeared into the back, getting the ice cream. Caden hoped that Mary wouldn't care that he ordered for her. The ice cream man came back, two ice creams in hand. "Thanks," Caden said and gave the man exact change for the treat. He handed one to Mary, "For you," he said, a small smile on his face.
ooc: ha ha, i like ice cream trucks

She smiled as they walked over to the ice cream truck. When Caden handed her the ice cream, she thanked him. "You didn't have to buy it for me," she said as well, but she was still smiling. She opened up the ice cream bar and held it in one hand. Her other was placed in her pocket. "So, have you lived in Oahu for long?" she asked him, trying to spark a conversation.

She toook the ice cream from him and told Cade that he didn't have to buy it for her. "I'll let you buy next time then," he said, a small smile forming on his face. He threw the wrapper away, and took a bite of the ice cream before answering Mary's question. "Not long," he said. "Only since freshamn year. But I visited twice cause my brothers go here." Caden didn't know if she knew that his brothers were Jason and Shane. Most people wouldn't have guessed that shy, quiet Caden was related to Shane and Jay."Have you lived here long?" he asked her.

Mary smiled. Next time? she thought to herself. She listened to Caden explain, and then took her turn. "Well, me and my brother applied half-way through last year, and got in. So it's been about a half a year, maybe a little longer," she said, "I'm just lucky to be here." she added. It was true, she was lucky that she had actually gotten in here. it was a lot better than Texas, that was for sure.

"Your brother?" he asked, with a questioning look on his face. He had no idea that mary had a brother. He wondered if he was older or younger. Hopefully not older, and would come and beat him up or something for just talking to her in the park. "Where did you move from?" he asked. She had only been here for half of a year, so obviously they had to come from somehwere.

"Oh yeah. You know Robbie Gomez?" she asked, but did not wait for him to answer, "That's him. He's my twin. We moved here from Texas, but we're originally from New York," she said. Just the thought of Texas made her skin crawl, however, so she hoped they would not move towards that subject.

"Sounds familiar," he said. Robbie Gomez...where had he heard that name before? Probably just around campus, they were most likely in a class together or something. "I've never been to Texas. However, I went to New york once." he said.

"Yeah, I think we all have the same math class together," she said, remembering sitting next to her brother in math, and always catching a curly-haired head in the corner of her eye. When the subject of Texas came back along, she looked down. "Well, I'd have to say that I prefer New York," she said, "My giant mess of aunts and uncles and cousins in Texas are not necessarily very welcoming," she added.

He nooded his head, agreeing with her. "Oh yeah!" he said, Now he could clearly picture Robbie Gomez, and knew exactly who she was talking about. Giant mess of aunt and uncles? He had to agree, that didn't sound very fun. He noticed how she put her head down, like she was trying to avoid talking about it. "Sorry," he said. "I mean, we can just talk about something else if you want." he blushed slightly, and was glad her head was down so she didn't see it. he got the feeling that she didn't want to talk about it anymore, because of bad memories or something.

She looked back up quickly. "No, it's okay," she said, "I moved to Texas when I was thirteen to live with my aunt after my mother passed away," she explained, "It doesn't bother me to talk about it, but changing the subject would be nice," she added. "So, your brothers, Jason and Shane, right? How are they?" she asked right away to change the subject. She took another bite of her ice cream that she had left untouched for a minute. She had never actually met Jason and Shane in person, so she wanted to know more about them.

Under his breath, he let out an "oh." he was about to say sorry for her loss, but then didn't, as it was obvious she wanted to avoid the subject. "Yeah, Jason and Shane." he said. He took a bite of his ice cream, and he got a brain-freeze. Ow! He thought. "Well Jason is the oldest, and he's pretty cool. I mean, we have the occasional fight, but we write the guitar parts for songs together, so we get along most of the time." He sounded redundant, but that was fine with him. "And Shane is probably the most popular guy at school, and he knows it. He's kind of self-centered." Caden added. It wasn't like he didn't lvoe his brothers, cause he did, but they just got on his nerves sometimes.

"Oh yeah, you guys are in a band right?" she asked, just remembering. She loved the idea of bands, for some reason. "I think I've seen Jason and Shane around school, but I'd never guess you were related," she said, trying to visualize Jason and Shane in comparison to Caden. They were very different.

Caden said, "yeah, we're in a band together. Shane does lead vocals, Jason guitar an back up vocals, and I usually play guitar and sing but sometimes I'll play the piano or the drums." He realized that he had already stated what he played, and felt a little redudant. I'd never guess you were related, mary told him. "Most people wouldn't," he said with a smile. Their looks and personalities were so different from each others.
