Sawyer tied her brunette curly hair into a sloppy ponytail and climmed up into the lifeguard chair. She looked into the water and saw Bubbles the dolphin. Yes, for extra money, Sawyer worked at the Swim with the Dolphins Habitat in the Ocean Life Center. She was in charge of going into the water with young swimmers and caring for the dolphins. But she did not consider this work at all, because she loved animals. She climmed back out of the chair and stood by the side of the pool. Bubbles splashed water all over Sawyer's outfit. Sawyer grabbed her necklace, a whistle, and blew it in the code. Bubbles swam away. Sawyer smiled. She loved animals more than anything, maybe even more than music.
She pulled off her 'Save the Dolphins' shirt and her shorts, revealing her gray stripped bikini. She jumped into the water, holding onto her necklace tightly. There was five dolphins in the enclosure, and they all came swimming. Bubbles, the youngest one, just a little baby, had always been a favorite of Sawyer. And Bubbles loved Sawyer because Sawyer had taken care of her her whole life. Bubbles' mother had died, killed by a fisherman, so Bubbles had been brought to the center.
Sawyer sat on the edge of the dock and looked around. It was so beautiful at the center. She was in her own little world. The center was beautiful. It was outdoors, and it was just a huge enclosed body of water, cut off from the ocean. No other creatures except for the dolphins and fish were there. Sawyer grabbed the bucket of fish and fed one to the the dolphins. She laughed as they fought over it. She heard the door to the center building open. She turned, expecting to see the familiar light blue 'Save the Dolphins' shirt, but this person definitly did not work here.

danica voesy had finally got a day where she wasn't studying. a surprise, right? she had finished a paper, read a few researched papers and organized her calculus stuff. she was even surprised that she got all of that done in one morning. now, she was here at the ocean life center. she wasn't here to swim or anything, you could tell by her ensemble of ray-bans sunglasses and shorts to her flip-flops, she was just here to enjoy the marine life. as she walked, she glanced around the dolphin habitat. she loved the dolphons. they always seemed to happy and cheerful even when they might be having a bad fishy day. she could relate though. danica never let people know she was having a crapy day. she always kept a smile on her face and a lot of people seemed to life her for that or so that was what she thought and had heard people say a few times. "oh danica, your just so cheerful all the time" and "you look so happy!" there were many things that people had said and she liked compliments. danica stopped by the habitat, peeking into the water. as she looked up, she noticed a familer face. with a smile on her own, she walked to her. she thought her name was sawyer, and was pretty sure it was, but greeted her with a friendly "bonjour!" as she usually did to people she was meeting.

Sawyer smiled slightly as she saw Danica. "Hey, I'm Sawyer," she said, "You go to O'ahu, right?" now she was sure that she had seen this girl before. But they had never actually talked before. Once again, Bubbles, the dolphin, always wanting attention, splashed Sawyer. He always did that because he though it was funny. "Ha ha," she mumbled, holding her whistle up to her mouth and blowing in another code, watching him swim away. She stood up and took a few steps away from the water. "Sorry about that, did he get you wet?" she asked, looking at the girl.

with a smile, danica extended her hand, "i'm danica," she said, "yes i do go to o'ahu." she looked at the dolphin and then back at sawyer, "i didn't know you worked here," she said, "i didn't know anybody from school worked here actually." danica thought most kids from school just focused on there music and acting and such, much like she kind of did. danica giggled, stepping away just a bit as the dolphin splashed up. she shook her head "no, he didn't," she said. sawyer was so lucky to work here. danica could probably never since she was too busy with school.

Sawyer mirrored the extention of the hand with her own. She felt akward, though. She never shook hands with people, even older people. "Yeah, I thought you looked familiar," she said, "And I am the only O'ahu student working here at the moment," she said proudly. Some people thought her job was weird, but she loved it.
"So, did you come here to check out the dolphins?" she asked. She saw lots of students doing that here, expecially ones who were new. And a lot of them knew her, to her surprise. Everyone wondered how Sawyer fit this job into her school and music schedules. But she managed. She worked here every morning from seven to nine, walking to school just to arrive at nine thirty, as it started, and worked some afternoons from four to five. And then school and music took care of the rest of her spare time.

danica shook her head. "no, not really," she said, "i just wanted to see just about everything. its better than seating at school in the dorms studying like i usually do and attempting to finish my summer reading list." she quickly shut up as she relized how nerdy she sounded at the moment. "anyways," she said, feeling awkward. "your lucky to work here," she said, "when i lived in paris i used to help out at a huge equestrian center and i walk some the best horses for the top riders." she smiled as she thought about paris. she missed living there quite a bit, but since she wanted to fulfill her acting an dmaybe singing/violinist career, she knew she couldn't do it at home. o'ahu was the number school in america for performing arts and well, america had some greats schools. she knew that for sure.
